Where can I call for help?

When are camp fees due?
Fees are due 2 weeks prior to each week that your child is registered for camp.
Is there a deposit?
There is a $75 deposit due at booking. It can be paid with a credit card or mailed in check.
Do you have family discounts for Camp Kaleo?
Families with multiple children attending get a $10.00 discount per child.
Can my child come more than once during the summer?
Children may attend more than one week! There is even a multiweek discount if attending more than 2 weeks!
What are the drop-off and pick-up times?
Drop-off takes place every day from 7:30am-8:30am. We ask that all campers be here by 8:30 as we start programming at 8:45. If the camper has paid for all meals, breakfast starts at 8am. Pick up goes from 4:00-6:30pm. If the camper has paid for all meals, dinner starts at 6:00pm.
*There is a $10 fine for every 10 minutes the child is picked up late.
Who will make sure that my camper receives their medications?
We have a registered nurse on campus during each session of camp. The nurse provides all medical care to campers during the week and advises the Camp Director if a camper needs further treatment. The nurse also administers prescription meds, vitamins, and any over the counter drugs that parents have confirmed that their camper can have.
When will I be notified if my camper is ill or injured?
If a camper is ill/injured beyond minor scrapes or it requires a stay in the infirmary for more than one hour, parents will be contacted at the numbers provided. Further treatment plans will be discussed then. In cases of an emergency, 911 will be called and the parents will be notified.
Children with special needs:
While we do our best to accommodate all children that want to come to camp, please understand that Camp Kaleo is not equipped to care for campers that has an emotional, physical, or mental disability that would prevent their full participation in the camp program.
Who will be working with my camper?
2-3 young adults will be with each daycamp group. Staff are hand-picked, godly young adults who are walking with the Lord. All staff, missionaries, pastors, nurses, and volunteers received background checks and child protection training. All staff receive additional training in prevention and correcting of bullying, safety, problem solving, and other topis to best care for campers. At Camp Kaleo, we follow the rule of three: meaning that no staffer is every alone with one camper. Every staff member is certified in CPR and First Aid. All lifeguards have received certification through the American Red Cross.
Are camperships available?
Camperships are available on a first come, first served basis. Please email us at info@campkaleo.org to received the application. All applicants are expected to contribute $75 as the camp deposit.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION & WHAT TO BRING
We are excited to have everyone coming to Day Camp at Camp Kaleo and we hope your kids are excited too! Here is some helpful information to make sure you are ready.
- Also be prepared to pay the rest of your balance for the current week of camp at check-in on Monday. We can accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
- There will be a table set up at the Camp Store where you must check in. Be prepared to confirm who can pick up your child. (Each day you drop off)
- If you selected an option not including meals or canteen (snacks), please have their meals and snacks sent with them. (Each day you drop off)
- Canteen (snack time) with us is now $15 a week.

Packing List for Day Camp:
- Close-toed Shoes
- Refillable Water Bottle
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- Swimsuit (Girls One Piece or Tankini)
- Towel
- Backpack to keep stuff together
- No phones or electronic devices (or give to Day Camp Leader until pick-up)
- Bible
Optional:
- Flip-flops or water shoes
- Lunch or Snacks (If not getting meals/canteen from Kaleo)
- Medication (if needed)
Camp Store and Missions Offering Money
- At check-in on Monday, campers deposit their cash or parents electronically add money into the campers store account. The money is available daily for camp store visits, snack time, and missions offering. No money will be kept with the camper. All unspent money will be returned to campers at the end of their session. Campers average $15-$50 for missions offering and camp store.
- Throughout the week, campers may purchase a variety of options from the store including snacks, drinks and souvenirs. Items range from $1-$30.
- At the end of the week, campers can give to missionaries serving around the world, sharing the Good News of Jesus. This summer we have partnered with a church plant in New Orleans. For more information on this summer's mission focus, contact info@campkaleo.org
